A global pandemic has affected billions of people in so many ways from health, economics, mentally & emotionally; it’s affecting us all in one way or another.  Attention has also been brought to the longstanding injustice and lack of inclusion to black communities; and we’re being reminded that being neutral is not enough.  Business as usual is no longer working.  It never was.  And now is the time for you to step up, to help move forward – we need you.  In the face of so much chaos; it can be tempting to play small, to hide, to pretend to be comfortable, to wait for someone else to fix it; or to wait for things to go back to normal.  But there is no normal anymore.  Things aren’t going back to the way they were.  Together, we can bring who we are to the table, our whole selves; all of our experiences and our vision and create change in the industries we desire to.  To create something better than before.  And we need you in those roles.  We need you putting yourself out there again, and again, so that you can be in the right place and the right time, making the impact that only you’re here to make.  This is not a time to give up or go at it alone.  We need each other, and we need you – showing up to yourself; giving generously to others and practicing.

My main recruitment focus has been in the tech space across industries like pharmaceutical, healthcare, digital agency and government. I've recruited in every major city in the U.S and parts of Canada for companies ranging from tens of thousands of people to just 25.

Most recently, I built recruitment strategy and processes from scratch for a mid size SaaS company by partnering and collaborating with the business around fair hiring practices including interview scorecard development, interview processes, and evaluation tools.

I didn’t ask too many questions and just went with the flow - I needed to be asking 10 million questions and closing deals. There were so many times I wanted to quit and give up. My self esteem was at a low, and at times I never thought I would get it. I ended up succeeding; and went on to excel and lead. Do the work

This is a WORKshop.  Its online and it requires you showing up and doing the work.  You’ll do your work, share it, receive feedback and give feedback, you’ll edit re-do and do it again and again.  

Our 5 year old niece has reminded us, if you want to ride a bike, you don’t watch a video – you get on the bike, and practice with someone again and again.  This workshop gives you a safe space to practice; a place where you will be surrounded by other professionals eager to see you, helpyou, push you, challenge you and move you forward.  

This is not a place for perfectionists; its a place for professionals who want to improve their interview skills, gain more confidence so they can make a difference in the world with the work they’re doing.  

Going for it

Its one thing to explain to your friends and family what you do; and most often than not, you don’t even have to explain it to them because they see you over a long period of time in action.  

Its another thing to explain to strangers and potential employers what it is that you do.

We believe that you have more power than ever before to make a difference.  Now is the time.  Companies need you, your work and your insight to help us all move forward.  You do deserve this AND; all the people you seek to serve and help with your work deserve it; they’re waiting for you!

Its not enough to go through life complacent or feeling like your work doesn’t matter.  It does.  And you matter.  

Your work is important and we need it.  

A lot of the times we don’t go for the things we really want because we’re scared, not that we’re not good enough.  You are good enough.  More than enough. And, the more we practice, the more confidence we build. 

We need you, in your confidence, communicating your stories, listening in a way that connects you to others so that they say, yes – lets offer her the job.

The interview process is a system.  It has its own set of rules and intricacies.  Because its a system that we don’t normally go through too often, it can scare us, intimidate us.  When we go through the system and its not working the way we like, we often blame ourselves, get discouraged, feel defeated, we think we’re not good enough, and question who we are and what we’ve done.  We get frustrated at the system for this dumb process.
